Some 6,165 vehicles were delivered from the Turkish port of Zonguldak to the Ukrainian port of Chornomorsk from January through August 2021, and 5,297 in the opposite direction, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
According to the information, the number of vehicles transported between the two ports during the reporting period amounted to 11,462.
Turkish ports handled over 1.3 million vehicles from January through August 2021.
Ro-Ro ships delivered 519,300 vehicles to Turkish ports during the reporting period.
Also, 826,253 vehicles were sent from the ports of Turkey by Ro-Ro ships in 8M2021.
The ministry also noted that the Turkish ports in August handled 156,840 vehicles in total.
In addition, Ro-Ro ships delivered 47,278 vehicles to Turkish ports. At the same time, 109,562 vehicles were sent from the ports.
