Some 640 vehicles were delivered from the Turkish port of Kocaeli to the Belgian port of Zeebrugge from January through August 2021, and six vehicles were delivered in the opposite direction, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on October 5.
According to the ministry, the number of the number of vehicles transported between the two ports in the specified period amounted to 646.
It is reported that during the reporting period Turkish ports delivered 1,345,553 vehicles.
In addition, Ro-Ro ships delivered 519,300 vehicles to Turkish ports in 8M2021.
Also, 826,253 vehicles were sent from the ports of Turkey by Ro-Ro ships from January through August 2021.
The ministry noted that in total the Turkish ports in August delivered 156 840 vehicles.
Moreover, Ro-Ro ships delivered 47,278 vehicles to Turkish ports. At the same time, 109,562 vehicles were sent from Turkish ports.
