Turkey's leather exports to Iran up in value for 9M2021

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Oct. 27

The total value of the export of leather goods from Turkey to Iran in the first nine months of 2021 rose, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.

According to the ministry, this figure amounted to over $1.2 million, up by 31.8 percent on annual basis.

In September this year, Turkey exported leather goods worth $116,000 to Iran, which is a decrease of 39 percent compared to the same month of 2020.

From January through September 2021, the total value of Turkish-made leather goods export abroad was 28.3 percent more than in 9M2020 and amounted to $1.26 billion.

In September 2021, Turkey totally exported leather goods worth $1.28 billion to international markets, which is 20.7 percent more compared to the same month of 2020.

Over the last 12 months (from September 2020 through September 2021), Turkish exports of the mentioned goods equaled $13.8 billion.
