BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) intends to implement 13 projects worth 22.1 billion Turkish liras ($1.4 billion) by the end of 2022, the Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources told Trend.
According to the ministry, part of these projects worth 9.2 billion Turkish liras ($576.6 million) will be implemented through foreign loans.
"TPAO implemented projects worth 14.3 billion Turkish liras ($896.3 million) last year," the ministry said.
A total of 130 energy projects will be implemented in Turkey by the end of 2022 and 23.8 billion Turkish liras ($1.5 billion) will be allocated for their implementation.
Part of the projects will be financed by foreign loans worth 3.7 billion Turkish liras ($231.9 million).
Turkey’s spending on the implementation of energy projects amounted to 16.8 billion Turkish liras ($1.05 billion) in 2021.
Some 125 energy projects were implemented in Turkey last year, for the implementation of which funds from foreign loans in the amount of 3.1 billion Turkish liras ($194.3 million) were allocated.
