Turkey announces volume of cargo delivered from China to its ports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 6. Some 12,600,750 tons of cargo were transported from China to Türkiye's ports from January through December 2023, Trend reports, referring to the Türkiye's Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

Meanwhile, vessels under the flag of Türkiye delivered 3,525 tons of cargo to the ports from China, and vessels under the flags of other countries delivered 11,727,990 tons.

During this time, 285,773 tons of cargo were delivered to Türkiye's ports by vessels under the flag of China.
To note, from January through December 2023, 2,998,722 tons of transit cargo were transported to Türkiye's ports from China.

Türkiye's ports received 391,717,308 tons of cargo from January through December 2023.

The reception of cargo by vessels under the Türkiye's flag amounted to 29,299,350 tons from January through December 2023. Moreover, vessels under the flags of other countries transported 362,417,958 tons of cargo to the ports of Türkiye.

The report indicates that from January through December 2023, 66,735,403 tons of transit cargo were transported from Türkiye's ports.

Türkiye's ports received 36,375,497 tons of cargo in December 2023.

During this period, the reception of cargoes to domestic ports by vessels flying the Türkiye's flag amounted to 2,739,933 tons.

"Cargo shipments by vessels flying the flags of other countries to Türkiye's ports amounted to 33,635,564 tons," the ministry says in a statement.

In addition, a total of 5,238,880 tons of transit cargo were transported from Türkiye's ports in December 2023.

Türkiye's ports received 60,195 vessels (40,918 vessels under the flags of other countries and 19,277 vessels under the flag of Türkiye) from January through December 2023.

Last December, the ports of Türkiye received 4,697 vessels (3,190 vessels under the flags of other countries and 1,507 vessels under the flag of Türkiye).
