Türkiye announces passenger turnover at Trabzon Int'l Airport

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 15. The number of passengers arriving at Trabzon International Airport in January 2024 increased by one percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 216,840 people, Trend reports, referring to the Türkiye's Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.

The passenger turnover of the airport for domestic flights in January 2024 increased by 4 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to 203,554 people, while for international flights it decreased by 30 percent and amounted to 13,286 people.

Cargo turnover at the airport decreased by 3 percent in January 2024 compared to the same period in 2023 to 1,842 tons. Additionally, the airport's cargo turnover for domestic flights in January 2024 increased by 4 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to 1,581 tons, and for international flights increased by 29 percent compared to the same period and amounted to 261 tons.

According to the information, the number of flights from the airport in January 2024 decreased by 5 percent compared to January 2023 to 1,583. Meanwhile, the number of domestic flights decreased by 2 percent to 1,389 and international flights decreased by 21 percent to 194.

Passenger transportation in January this year at all airports of Türkiye amounted to 5,508,028 people, and cargo turnover - 55,335 tons.

To note, in 2023, passenger transportation in all airports of Türkiye amounted to 214,005, 980 people and cargo turnover - 4,211,507 tons.
