Türkiye reveals year-to-date volume of incoming cargo from Croatian ports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 19. From January through February 2024, a total of 199,966 tons of cargo were transported from Croatia to the ports of Türkiye, Trend reports via the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

The ministry's data shows that Turkish-flagged vessels delivered 30,786 tons of cargo to the ports from Croatia, while vessels under the flags of other countries - 169,180 tons.

Croatian-flagged vessels did not transfer goods to Turkish ports during this time. From January through February 2024, 115,255 tons of transit cargo were moved to Turkish ports from Croatia and in February 2024, Turkey's ports received 32.8 million tons of cargo.

During this time, cargo traffic to inland ports from Turkish flagged vessels totaled 2 million 368 thousand 96 tons.

Cargo traffic from foreign-flagged vessels to Turkish ports was 1.26 million tons.

In addition, 5.9 million tons of transit cargo were moved from Turkish ports in February 2024.

According to the ministry, Türkiye ports received 66 million tons of cargo between January and February 2024.

"From January through February 2024, the cargo traffic of Turkish-flagged vessels amounted to 4.7 million tons. Meanwhile, by vessels under the flags of other countries, cargo traffic to the ports of Türkiye amounted to 61.3 million tons," the report said.

It was highlighted that from January through February 2023, Türkiye ports transported 11.1 million tons of transit cargo.

In February this year, the ports of Türkiye received 4,531 vessels.

According to information, during this period, the number of vessels accepted in Türkiye ports under the flags of other countries amounted to 437,000, and the number of vessels accepted under the flag of Türkiye amounted to 3,094.

From January through February 2024, Türkiye ports received 8,883 vessels.

During this period, vessels under the flags of other countries accepted by Turkish ports amounted to 6,047, and vessels under the Turkish flag amounted to 2,836.
