Medical personnel are treating a male gun shot victim after he shot himself outside of the White House, according to the Secret Service and D.C. police. President Trump is in Florida on Saturday and not at home, USA TODAY reports.

Police have sealed off traffic on streets near the White House, and Pennsylvania Avenue has been shut to pedestrians. Officers with rifles are patrolling the area.

The president spent the morning at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Fla. Saturday and will spend the early afternoon at his Mar-a-Lago resort. Trump is expected to return to Washington D.C. Saturday evening to attend the Gridiron Dinner.

Reporters at the White House said they were told to shelter in place.

This is the second red alert at the White House in less than 10 days. A Tennessee woman intentionally rammed her car into a barrier outside of the White House a week ago, Friday.
