Baku, Azerbaijan, Oct. 20
By Seba Aghayeva - Trend:
The Hungarian Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Peter Szijjarto will discuss in Baku the prospects for development of bilateral relations of Azerbaijan and Hungary.
The minister's visit is scheduled for Nov. 3-4, the Hungarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Zsolt Chutora told Trend Oct. 20.
The visit's program is being specified through diplomatic channels.
It is expected that the foreign affairs and trade minister of Hungary will discuss in Baku the two countries' cooperation, both in political and in the economic spheres.
"There is a huge potential for development of trade and economic cooperation," the Ambassador Chutora previously told Trend.
He said the Hungarian companies see Azerbaijani market as an alternative to the market of Russia amid the EU sanctions.
"Our companies are ready to enter the Azerbaijani market with high-quality Hungarian food products, including cheese and sausage products, canned products, which enjoy a lot of interest in Azerbaijan," the ambassador added.
The diplomat also said the governments of both countries have several times expressed interest in increasing bilateral trade turnover, which currently does not fully correspond to the existing potential.
"There is a good potential, which needs to be used," Chutora said.
