The parties plan to launch bitumen production in Kazakhstan using the latest technology and constantly improving the production processes and transportation of products.

Gazprom Neft is one of the largest bitumen producers in Russia. The company held 30 percent of Russian bitumen market with 1.8 million tons of bitumen sales as of the end of 2013.

In 2012 the company acquired a bitumen plant with an annual capacity of 280,000 tons in the Kazakh city of Shymkent. Now Gazprom-Neft - Bitumen Kazakhstan is processing at this facility. The plant can simultaneously produce a wide range of bitumen products and provide the companies involved in the construction and reconstruction of the country's highways with high-quality bitumen.
