President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the Italian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Marco Mancini, the Turkmen government said in a message.
Turkmenistan, which is implementing peaceful foreign policy, will continue to pay special attention to building cooperation with Italy, including within constructive dialogue established with the EU in recent years, as well as within other major international organizations and structures, the Turkmen president said.
The sides exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation on a bilateral and multilateral basis.
Energy sector, trade and economy sphere, agriculture and other areas were defined key vectors for building up interstate cooperation between Turkmenistan and Italy.
