Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili and Iranian Ambassador to Georgia Abbas Talebifari discussed the issues of intensifying bilateral relations, Georgian Presidential Administration told Trend on May 30.

Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili and Iranian Ambassador to Georgia Abbas Talebifari discussed the issues of intensifying bilateral relations, Georgian Presidential Administration told Trend on May 30.

The sides discussed the current level of bilateral relations and expressed the will for the intensification of economic and political cooperation. A particular attention was paid to Georgian geo-economical position and its role in stimulating regional security.

Margvelashvili and Talebifari also talked over regional security.

Abbas Talebifari also invited the Georgian president on behalf of Iranian president Hassan Rouhani to pay an official visit to his country. He stressed that the visit contributes to intensification of relations between Georgia and Iran.
