Baku, Azerbaijan, Sept. 14

By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Iran 's average monthly crude oil export has not changed, Mohsen Qamsari, the Director of International Affairs of Iran's Oil Ministry, said.

"Some media reports indicate that Iran 's oil export has increased or decreased. These reports are not valid," Iran 's IRNA news agency quoted Qamsari as saying Sept. 14.

Currently, Iran exports around one million barrels of oil on average per day, he noted.

Reuters reported on Sept. 7 that Iran 's oil sales look to be headed towards a six-month low in September, down 16 percent from August. Iran 's total crude and condensate exports will fall to 1.02 million barrels per day (bpd) in September, the lowest since March, when India and Japan did not load oil from the OPEC member to hold shipments within sanction limits.

However, Qamsari said that a certain refinery may reduce its intake due to technical problems or overhaul operations, but it will increase intake in later months to reach an average per month.

There is no problem for foreign refiners buying Iranian oil, he said, adding that China, India, South Korea, Japan, and Turkey are buying oil based on annual contracts.
