A tourist ocean liner, Sunny, reached Iranian Kish Island coast, state TV IRIB reported Mar.24.
According to the report, this is the biggest tourist ocean liner that has ever reached Iranian coast.
“The liner would transport tourists from Kish to Qeshm Island and Bandar Abbas Port, and then it would be used for short time tours, targeting foreign countries,” CEO Kish Free Zone Organization Ali Asghar Mounesan said.
A 176-meter length and 23-meter width ship has 130 cabins, and is capable to carry 1600 passengers and 200 cars.
The report did not elaborate that the tourists are Iranian people or foreign citizens. The report also did not mention the name of the company that built the ship for Iran, or if the country purchased it.
