Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov can visit Iran in 2016, but the date has not been specified yet, Zamir Kabulov, the president's special representative for Afghanistan, the director of the Second Asian Department at the Russian foreign ministry, told RIA Novosti.
"Lavrov has an invitation and I do not rule out that he will visit Iran in 2016," Kaboulov said.
Earlier, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Ibrahim Rahimpour said that such a visit can be paid in the first half of 2016.
