Head of the Iranian Judiciary's Council for Human Rights, Mohammad Javad Ardashir Larijani said that appointing a special rapporteur on human rights in Iran by the United Nations is not justified at all and is illegal, ISNA news agency reported Oct. 9.

Larijani's statements came after the Special Rapporteur, Ahmed Shaheed published a report on human rights situation in Iran.

The October 2014 report reads that at least 852 people were executed in Iran from July 2013 to June 2014.

Shaheed has published his sixth report on the state of human rights in Iran, and all of his reports have been slammed by Iranian authorities.

Larijani accused Shaheed of having negative viewpoints towards Iran, saying that the rapporteur plays a "media actor playing anti-Iran part".

Larijani also said that the report is not professional.

"He has pieced allegations against Iran via various internet websites and meeting with certain people," the official said.

Also Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham said on Oct. 8 that the Shaheed's Human Rights report is one-sided and far from reality.

"Iran seriously rejects the unfair and unprincipled behavior of the UN Human Right Rapporteur," she added. Afkham said that Shaheed pictures himself as a political opponent of the Islamic Republic of Iran by using such irregular and illegal methods as making fact finding trips to a number of European countries, conducting guided interviews with certain media and offering comments about his report in advance.

Shaheed, who has expressed serious concerns regarding human rights violations in Iran in all of his reports, has not been allowed to travel to Iran during his tenure as UN Rapporteur for Iran.
