Severe tremors took place in the north-west of Azerbaijan (in the area between Zagatala and Gakh regions) on Monday morning, the National Seismological Center at the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences told Trend on Monday.
The magnitude of the earthquake was 5.5 on the Richter scale.
