The European Union (EU) has decided to allocate 7,000,000 euro for the implementation of the project on improving air quality in the eastern neighboring countries of the EU, ITAR-TASS reported
The project will be implemented under the regional action program ENPI EAST which covers Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine and Georgia
The key objectives of the project include reducing the impact of climate change, strengthening the international cooperation in the environmental protection field, increasing the environmental awareness of the population and the quality and sustainable management of the natural resources.
