There was a stable level of water in rivers on the territory of Azerbaijan June 1, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources said.
The water level has not changed compared to the previous day on the river Kura in Yevlakh, Zardab, Salyan.
The slight increase of water level is observed in Surra (the level is currently 881 cm) and Shirvan (781 cm) - two and one centimeter, respectively, lower level - in Banka (429 cm) - one centimeter.
The water level increased by two centimeters, reaching 598 cm on the river Araz in Novruzlu compared to the previous day.
The water level decreased by two centimeters, reaching 723 cm on the river Ganyh in Eyrichay.
Torrential rains and flooding of the rivers Kura and Araz caused floods in 40 districts of Azerbaijan. As a result of the disaster about 20,000 houses were flooded, more than 300 destroyed, 2,000 are in emergency condition, 50,000 hectares of cultivated land were under water.
