German city of Paderborn hosted the international tournament on rhythmic gymnastics among juniors, where Azerbaijani gymnasts won two medals. Ekaterina Prokopenko took the second place in the competitions of gymnasts aged between 12 and 13 years. Lala Yusifova occupied the fourth place in the same age category, the Azerbaijani Gymnastics Federation told Trend News.

Renewed junior group team consisting of Aliya Pashayeva, Irada Ahadzade, Mansura Mehtiyeva and Medina Hasanova won the second medal for Azerbaijan.

The gymnasts got bronze while performing exercises with four ribbons.

During the European Championship-2010 this team will compete for participation in the first Youth Olympic Games.
