German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle will pay an official visit to Kazakhstan on August 29, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with the reference to Kazakh Foreign Ministry's spokesman Altai Abibullayev.
"On August 29 German Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle will pay his first official visit to our country. He will also take part in an international convention on nuclear testing ban in the period of freedom from nuclear weapons," Abibullayev said on Monday at the press briefing.
Within the visit Westerwelle plans to meet with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov and Kazakh Industry and New Technologies Minister Asset Issekeshev.
"During the visit a wide range of issues will be discussed, including the Iranian nuclear program, with regard to Germany's participation in the negotiations 5 +1. Moreover it is expected to discuss the situation in Syria and security in the Central Asian region," Abibullayev said.
Moreover, the parties will discuss legalization of the agreements reached during Kazakh President's official visit to Germany in February 2012.
