Iran has liberalised importing second-hand agricultural and mining machinery with the maximum life of five years, ISNA reported.
International sanctions have created many problems for HEPCO as the main manufacturer of mining machinery. The meant mining companies have called for liberalising the importation of second-hand machinery, the House of Mine Deputy Director Mohammadreza Bahramen said.
Currently the majority of mining machinery and equipment is imported from China, he added.
In July, ex-Minister of Industry, Mehdi Ghazanfari, said some $807 million (based on official rate of 24,782 rials per each dollar) from the National Development Fund of Iran was allocated for the development of mines, ISNA news agency reported.
Ghazanfari said that in the current solar year which began on March 21, the national budget of $20.18 million was allocated for exploration projects.
"A$1.614 billion income would be received from state owned mineral rights in the current year," he added.
It should be recalled that about $32.28 million in income has been predicted to be earned from state owned mineral rights in the current year's budget.
In the last year's budget some $72.63 million income had been predicted to be earned. However, the figure reached $141.23 million which was twice more than the predicted value.
