Iran has expressed a strong protest to Pakistan's ambassador to Tehran, over execution of kidnapped Iranian border guard.

The Pakistan's ambassador to Tehran, Nour Mohammad Jadmani was summoned to Iran's foreign ministry on March 26, to explain why Islamabad has kept indifferent to the execution of Iranian border guard, Jamshid Danayeefar by so-called Jeish Al-Adl group on Pakistan's territory, Iran's ISNA news agency reported on March 27.

Jeish al-Adl tweeted on March 23 that it has hanged Jamshid Danayeefar, one of the five kidnapped Iranian border guards.

On February 6, Iranian border guards were abducted in the Jakigour region of the province of Sistan and Baluchestan in southeastern Iran which borders withPakistan. The men were later transferred to the Pakistani territory. The Jeish al-Adl group claimed responsibility for the abductions.

Iranian foreign ministry expressed strong protest to Pakistani ambassador in Tehran against terrorism on Iran-Pakistan border, failure of the Pakistani government to secure its borders and release of the kidnapped border guards.

The ministry announced that Pakistan should take serious action to secure the release of the border guards and to guarantee that such kind of actions will not happen in the future.

"Pakistan should arrest and extradite the members of the terrorist Jeish al-Adl group to Iran," the foreign ministry emphasized.

On March 26, Iran's interior minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli called on the Pakistani government to demonstrate great responsibility addressing the issue.

If Pakistan will not approach the issue on the release of the Iranian border guards with full responsibility, Iran reserves the right to take all measures to protect its borders, Rahmani Fazli said.

He urged the Pakistani government to take all necessary measures to release the Iranian guards and observe the principles of good neighbourly relations in the framework of international norms and rules.
