A car bombing rattled Iraq's capital city of Baghdad late on Wednesday, killing three civilians and injuring 20 others, an Interior Ministry source said.

The source, on condition of anonymity, told Xinhua that the car, which was parked near a shopping mall in southwestern al- Jihad district, was detonated possibly by a remote controller, causing several nearby vehicles and buildings damaged, Xinhua reported.

Among those injured were four police personnel, said the official.

Iraq has seen a relatively peaceful Eid al-Fitr, a traditional Islamic festival, this year, as sporadic gunfights and bombings all over the country have so far caused no big casualties.
