Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia chairing the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) organisation, David Usupashvili has officially opened the 42nd plenary session of PABSEC on Dec.18.
"The Georgian parliament is proud that over the past six months we have been chairing the assembly and contributed to its effective work," Usupashvili said.
Georgia will pass the chairmanship of the organisation to Greece.
At the meeting, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said it is very important to continue and deepen cooperation with the organisation's member countries.
The prime minister also added that Georgia is ready to perform its functions as the transportation corridor, improve the transport environment, cooperate in the field of environmental safety, as well contribute to a deepening of trade relations between member countries.
