Roughly 23,251 mobile phones worth $1,084.3 were imported into Azerbaijan in January and February, the State Committee on Statistics told Trend on Friday.
According to the State Statistics Committee, compared with January-February 2011, the number of mobile phones imported into the country increased by 11.6 percent (last year 20,829 units were imported), while in value terms, this figure dropped by more than ten percent.
In average the country monthly imports more than 11,000-12,000 mobile phones. Monthly volume of the mobile phone market in value terms is $500,000-700,000.
