Azerbaijan, Baku, Nov. 30 /Trend H.Valiyev /

The Cybernetics Institute plans to install additional five monitoring system stations forecasting anomalies, Director Telman Aliyev told Trend on Friday.

According to Aliyev, one station will be established on the territory of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Currently, work is underway to determine the most suitable well where the station will be installed.

"Delivery of the equipment is expected to the autonomous republic within the next ten days. Nakhchivan station geographically plays a strategic role in the project, as, in addition to expanding coverage of the entire monitoring system territory, it will help to more accurately determine the epicenters of earthquakes, as well as to follow the anomalies on the territory of border countries (Iran and Turkey), " Aliyev said.

According to him, along with this, the institute plans installation of four more prediction system stations in Azerbaijan, which will allow to completely determine the epicenter of paranormal phenomena.

Five stations operate Azerbaijan that can detect and monitor abnormal seismic processes. The stations are located in Gum Adasi, Neftchala, Naftalan, Shirvan and Siyazan.

Substantial support to the project is carried out by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, which has developed information exchange for monitoring prediction system.

System provides seismic signals directly to the server of the Cybernetics Institute. High satellite channels, allowing the institution to carry out experiments at a higher and more qualitative level are used for signal transmission.

The system is based on the analysis of noise, allowing the five to twenty hours advance warning of an earthquake in a radius of 300-400 kilometers.
