Azercell organizes first global “Start-up Weekend” event in Baku

Azercell's Barama Innovation Center has organized the first global "Start-up Weekend" in Baku, the company said today. The aim of the event held on June, 7-9 was facilitation of further upgrades during the three days by each of the teams and presentation of completed projects. Professional trainers instructed attendees in order to provide effective flow of the process. Entrepreneurs, start-up authors, marketing specialists, designers and developers got together to present their start-ups to the jury using cutting-edge technologies.

We would like to note, that "Baku Start-up Weekend" is organized jointly by the independent experts and "Start-up Weekend" global forum. "Baku Start-up Weekend" program is one of major milestones for creation of new start-ups and education of entrepreneurs. The purpose is to educate and encourage entrepreneurs, as well as provide necessary motivation and knowledge in creation of start-ups. "Start-up Weekend" launched since 2007 has been held in over than 107 countries and engaged more than 100 000 entrepreneurs. The events stimulated establishment and successful operation of more than 1000 companies throughout the world.
