Azerbaijan will present the Asan Imza project (Mobile-ID) at the World e-ID Congress, Chairperson of the Azerbaijani-Estonian Chamber of Commerce and founder of the B.E.S.T. Solutions Company Jana Krimpe told Trend on Tuesday.

According to her, the World e-ID Congress will be held in Nice (France) from September 25 to 27, at the Acropolis Convention Centre exhibition complex.

Over 400 delegates from 60 countries and 2500 participants from all over the world will participate.

This year World Smart Week brings an exhibition and four conferences together (NFC World Congress, World e-ID Congress, M2M Innovation World Congress and Chip-to-Cloud Security Forum).

According to Krimpe, Asan Imza will be presented at the World's National e-ID programme session, dedicated to the latest advances in the development and implementation of projects for mobile and electronic identification in the world.

The B.E.S.T. Solutions Company which carries out the functions as a system integrator, has been selected as a base which is entrusted with the technical building a mobile e-signature platform.

"Asan Imza Technology allows the use of a mobile phone as a secure electronic identity card. Like any other technology based on the use of SMART-cards and e-signature, it can be used for secure access to e-services and to certify documents with digital signatures. Unlike other technologies, it does not require a card reader," she said.

Asan Imza SIM-card serves as the basis of the system which is obtained from the mobile operator. The card stores private access keys and application for identification and signature.

According to Krimpe, Asan Imza is the first step towards the creation of a Ubiquitous government (U-government) in Azerbaijan which can be considered as a part of the e-government.

An electronic signature certificate for Asan Imza is issued by ASAN certification services centre of Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes jointly with the ASAN Service and Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies.
