On November 14, the group of experts-geophysicists, which held monitoring in the territory of the Mingachevir water-storage, will come back to Baku, the Director of the Mingachevir Hydro Electric Power Station, Sureddin Shamilov informed Trend.
It should be mentioned that serious threats appeared for several installations of the water-storage as a result of the landslide on October 28-30. On November 6, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev issued an order on the measures to liquidate the impacts of the landslide in the western part of the Mingachevir water-storage. A governmental commission has been created to eliminate the after-effects of the natural calamity. The Vice Prime of the Azerbaijani Government, Chairman of the State Commission for Emergency Situations Abid Sharifov was appointed as the Head of the governmental commission. The commission was charged to take necessary measures to pursue the danger for the installation of the water-storage facility and to prepare project-estimate documents.
Shamilov underlined that no changes have been observed in the territory after the landslide. He added that in the near future, the experts of the Republic Geology Institute will prepare their conclusion, after which the future activities will be defined.
