The Russian news channel Russia 24 presented a story about the torch relay of the Baku 2015 European Games and the preparations for them.
The story showcases Baku in the run-up to the European Games, and presents several short interviews with the city's residents.
The story said the European games torch relay in Azerbaijan's capital, the city of winds Baku, kicked off at the famous seafront, and the torch was brought on a boat and carried by Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev in the capital.
"Thousands of Azerbaijanis and the country's guests welcomed the torch relay's participants with applause and ovation," said the story. "The streets and squares of Baku became a giant festive scene, moreover, the event itself looked like a theatrical performance."
Baku 2015 is the first ever European Games, an exciting and innovative multi-sport event for the continent which will take place on June 12-28, 2015.
There will be a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition.
Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
