Another Azerbaijani judoka advances to 1/8 finals at Baku 2015

Azerbaijani judoka, Nijat Shikhalizada, competing in men's -66 kg elimination round, advanced to the 1/8 finals at the First European Games in Baku June 25.
Nijat Shikhalizada is the medal winner of the world championships, winner of European Cup, as well as Grand Slam and Grand Prix tournaments.
In the 1/16 finals, Shikhalizada gained a flawless victory over Turkey's Sinan Sandal.
Earlier, two Azerbaijani female judokas, Aisha Gurbanli and Leyla Aliyeva also advanced to 1/8 finals.
The European Games that kicked off June 12, will last till June 28. There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports.
More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe came to Baku to represent their nations over 17 days of competition. Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
