Necessary to investigate speculation of tickets for European Games closing ceremony

Relevant agencies should conduct an investigation in connection with the speculation of tickets for the closing ceremony of the European Games in Baku, Chief Operating Officer of the first European Games Baku 2015 Simon Clegg said.

He made the remarks June 27 at a press conference in Baku.

He said that information on speculation of tickets for European Games has appeared in social media.

"The relevant agencies should conduct an investigation in this regard," said Clegg.

The European Games kicked off in Baku June 12 and will last till June 28. There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports.

More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe came to Baku to represent their nations over 17 days of competition. Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
