Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan agree on a draft of intergovernmental agreement on air traffic, reads the protocol signed on the results of the second meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic and humanitarian cooperation held in Baku.
Works on an intergovernmental agreement are underway to mark the opening of passenger air traffic.
Previously, as a result of the agreements reached, direct freight transportation between the cities of Baku and Bishkek were established by the Silk Way Azerbaijani airlines company.
Currently the direct passenger transportation between Baku and Bishkek are not allowed. At present, one can fly to Bishkek from Baku through a number of countries, including Kazakhstan (Astana).
