The company SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) continues the process of gas pumping into underground gas storage facilities in Azerbaijan, the message published May 20 on its website said.
As of May 20, about 338.75 million cubic meters of gas were pumped in the country's gas storage facilities.
Azerbaijan has two underground gas storages facilities, Kalmaz and Garadagh, which are on the balance of SOCAR.
Some 152.55 million cubic meters of the total volume of gas pumped into storage fell on Garadagh, and 186.2 million cubic meters on Kalmaz storage facility, according to the source.
It is planned to pump 2.5 billion cubic meters of gas in the underground storage facilities of Azerbaijan until the end of the season," said the message.
The country's underground storages allow the storage of over 3.5 billion cubic meters of gas.
