Gotel Africa African TV channel began broadcasting from Azerbaijani satellite "Azerspace-1", a source on the telecommunications market of the country told Trend.

Gotel Africa ​​is the first multi-media TV channel that broadcasts the events of the African continent. The construction of a digital media center channel currently comes to an end in the Nigerian capital, Abuja city.

The number of satellite foreign TV and radio channels broadcasted via Azerbaijani is more than 140. The satellite is positioned at the orbital position of 46 degrees east longitude.

The launch of the first Azerbaijani telecommunications satellite "Azerspace-1" was carried out February 8, 2013.

The service area of the Azerspace/Africasat-1a covers the countries in Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Middle East and Africa.

Azerbaijan's telecommunications satellite Azerspace/Africasat-1a is designed to render the digital broadcasting, Internet access, and data transmission services, as well as the creation of VSAT multiservice networks, and the provision of government communications.
