Azerbaijan ensures broadcast quality control from satellite Azerspace-1

Teleradio Production Association (PA) of the ministry of communications and high technologies of Azerbaijan has launched a new satellite monitoring system to monitor the broadcast of TV and radio programs from the satellite Azerspace-1, said the message of the PA, released on August 13.

The new system ensures around-the-clock quality control of signal for three Azerspace-1 transponders, nine television and ten radio programs included in the Azerbaijani pack, which is broadcasted on the frequency of 11175,0 MHz, as well as 13 television and three radio programs available at a frequency of 11135.0 MHz. In addition, the new system makes it possible to control the broadcasting quality of a foreign pack, which consists of 11 television and seven radio programs broadcasted at a frequency of 11095,0 MHz.

The total number of television and radio channels broadcasted via Azerbaijani satellite reaches 140. The satellite is located at the orbital position of 46 degrees east longitude.

The launch of the first Azerbaijani telecommunications satellite "Azerspace-1" was carried out February 8, 2013.

The service area of the Azerspace/Africasat-1a covers the countries in Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Middle East and Africa.

Azerbaijan's telecommunications satellite Azerspace/Africasat-1a is designed to render the digital broadcasting, Internet access, and data transmission services, as well as the creation of VSAT multiservice networks, and the provision of government communications.
