Iran may rent one of the private clinics in Azerbaijan, the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Co-Chairman of the State Commission for Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran in the Economic, Trade and Humanitarian Spheres Shahin Mustafayev said.
He made the remarks during the meeting with the Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education of Iran Seyyed Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi, who leads the Iranian delegation, the Ministry of Economy said in a statement July 13.
Mustafayev stressed that the mutual relations between the states are developing, and that the countries are successfully cooperating in various sectors of the economy, including trade, transport, health, industry, energy, agriculture, tourism, customs and other areas.
It was noted that, the work continues in collaboration with Iran on the establishment of a joint plant entitled as "Caspian Pharmed" for production of the pharmaceutical products in Pirallahi Industrial Park. Moreover, relations with other Iranian pharmaceutical enterprises can be established in the area of production of pharmaceutical products.
Mustafayev reminded that, the rectors of a number of Iranian universities specializing in the medical field visited Azerbaijan, and a memorandum was signed between the Azerbaijan Medical University and the Tabriz Medical University.
The sides discussed during the meeting the issues of joint pharmaceutical production in Azerbaijan, joint organization of medical business, implementation of scientific research work in the field of health care, training of medical personnel, rent of one of the private clinics in Azerbaijan by Iran, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education Ghazizadeh Hashemi shared his opinion on expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan and noted the importance of establishing joint pharmaceutical enterprises.
