Foreigners actively rent apartments in Azerbaijan

In 2018, there is a relative growth in Azerbaijan's rental market compared to 2017, the sales manager of the company Emlakci, Timur Sarkhanov told Trend.

Sarkhanov noted that the number of apartments leased to foreigners and people resettled as part of the project for the demolition of Khurshchev-era buildings and low-rise buildings at the Sovetski area of Baku, have also increased.

Speaking about the primary housing market, Sarkhanov noted that from early 2018, the purchasing power of Azerbaijani citizens in this market stayed at the same level as in 2017.

Besides, Sarkhanov added that this purchasing power is evaluated as average.

The average cost of apartments in new buildings ranged from 200,000 to 250,000 manats [company's data], Sarkhanov added.

Emlakci has been operating in Azerbaijan's real estate market since 2010.
