Value of industrial production in Azerbaijan had decreased from January through June 2021, Trend reports referring to a source in the State Statistical Committee.
According to the source, this indicator amounted to 23.1 billion manat ($13.6 billion), down 0.3 percent on annual basis.
At the same time, growth of production in the non-oil sector in the reporting period amounted to 16.6 percent. In the oil sector, a 3.2 percent reduction was recorded, the source said.
In the general structure of industrial production for the first six months of this year, 62.6 percent fell on the mining industry, 31.3 percent - on the processing industry, 5.2 percent - on the production and distribution of electricity, gas and steam, 0.8 percent - on the spheres of water supply, cleaning and recycling of waste, added the source.
Industrial production in Azerbaijan in 2020 amounted to 37 billion manat ($21.7 billion), which is five percent less compared to 2019.
