BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 10. The number of Kazakh tourists visiting Azerbaijan amounted to 3,200 in March 2023, which constitutes a significant increase of 88 percent, compared to 1,700 visitors in February, Trend reports, citing the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan.
A significant increase in visitors saw Kazakhstan climb the ranking of top countries, whose citizens visit Azerbaijan. Currently, Kazakhstan occupies the 6th position as opposed to the 12th position in February 2023.
The share of tourists from Kazakhstan amounted to 2.34 percent of the total.
Consequently, Kazakh tourists visit Azerbaijan more often compared to other visitors from other Central Asian states.
Earlier, it was revealed that the number of flights between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan will reach 14 starting in the summer of 2023. The increase is expected to positively impact trade, economic, and business relations between the two countries.
