BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25. Azerbaijan will implement a project for production of sanitaryware products in Aghdam Industrial Park, a source familiar with the matter told Trend.
Domestic raw materials, including kaolin/kaolinite clay, limestone, quartz sand and red clay, as well as imported products such as feldspar, colored glaze and other materials will be used for production.
The project will benefit from large deposits of clay. The state has expressed interest in the development of deposits by private investors and ready to extend its support. There is a high demand for certain products in the process of restoration and reconstruction.
The state support will include customs and tax benefits for an industrial park resident and preferential loan.
The country’s state register of reserves includes 7 deposits of kaolin clay. The total volume of reserves amounts to 72.8 million tons.
