ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, November 30. The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan has been on the rise since 2016, and made a sharp jump in 2022, increasing more than fivefold, Trend reports.
The data of the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan shows that the trade turnover between the countries last year amounted to $535.39 million, which is 5 times more than in 2021 ($105 million), and 6 times more than in 2013 ($88.1 million).
Moreover, the substantial growth in economic collaboration is evident as trade transactions between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan surged to an impressive figure of over $1.61 billion during the period from 2013 through 2022.
Meanwhile, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan increased by 1.8 times from January through October 2023, reaching $710.37 million, a remarkable increase from $377.23 million over the same period the previous year.
