BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 7. Azerbaijan and the UK have signed a partnership and cooperation agreement, Trend reports.
The exclusive strategic agreement was signed between the Azerbaijani "Bridge" group of companies and the UK Concrete Canvas Limited company within the VI meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UK.
Bridge's CEO Farid Iskandarov commented on the matter, saying that the contract will allow the company deliver services in agricultural, infrastructure projects, and the storage and conservation of water resources.
"Water resources have significant value for both our company and Azerbaijan as a whole. In his speeches, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev emphasizes the importance of water resource storage and the fight against its loss," he said.
The sixth meeting of Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom's Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in Baku.
The discussion focused on bilateral collaboration in business, energy transition, healthcare, infrastructure, information and communication technology, cybersecurity, digital economy, and other areas.
The commission is co-chaired by Shahbazov and UK Minister of State for Exports Malcolm Offord.
