BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 18. A total of 83 protocols on administrative violations have been drawn up in Azerbaijan with regard to 38 legal entities and 15 individuals on the materials presented during the investigation of citizens' appeals received, Head of the State Service for Anti-monopoly Control and Consumer Market Supervision under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, Mammad Abbasbayli said, during a press conference dedicated to the results of activity for 2023, Trend reports.

According to Abbasbayli, the number of prepared protocols has increased up to six times compared to 2022.

"In the course of reviewing the appeals, preliminary evidence related to deception for more than 300 manat ($176.3) was revealed, as well as signs of fraud. The collected materials have been transferred to the Prosecutor's Office for legal assessment of the actions of certain companies," he added.

To note, the State Service for Anti-monopoly Control and Consumer Market Supervision is involved in the preparation and implementation of state policy in the fields of anti-monopoly policy, public procurement, technical regulation, standardization, metrology, and consumer protection. The main mission of the service is to create conditions for free competition and effective protection of entrepreneurship, which ensures the sustainable development of the country's economy.

The State Service for Anti-monopoly Control and Consumer Market Supervision was established by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated October 23, 2019.
