BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 13. Croatia is keen on engaging in projects within Azerbaijan's power sector, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Croatia to Azerbaijan Branko Zebić told Trend.
"Several Croatian companies, specializing in the power sector, have expressed interest in Azerbaijan's market. Representatives of these companies are currently in Baku. Meetings have been held," the ambassador emphasized.
He mentioned that the Croatian side was interested in the information of the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov about the intention to build 10 small hydroelectric power plants in Karabakh, as well as a large power plant on the Araz River.
Croatia is likewise interested in the development of renewable energy sources in Azerbaijan.
The Croatian delegation holding talks in Baku on March 12-13 includes such structures as Croatian Energy Market Operator Ltd, Croatian Energy Regulatory Agency, Croatian Transmission System Operator Plc, Hrvatska Electroprivred ADD, KONCAR - Electrical Industry Inc.
