The number of people registered in District Election Commissions (DECs) and Central Election Commission (CEC) for observing the upcoming parliamentary election in Azerbaijan totaled 37,079 and 605, respectively, CEC head Mazahir Panahov said Oct.16.
During the commission's meeting, Panahov said that 222 observers from 19 international structures were registered in the CEC for observing the election.
Moreover, the meeting participants reviewed several appeals submitted to the Central Election Commission over the decision of DECs to refuse from registering candidates for participation in the election. One decision of DECs was cancelled and the appeal was granted.
During the meeting, the composition of DECs was changed and authorized representatives of the Umid party were registered.
