Ukraine, Kiev /corr. Trend Z.Novositvski / The Chief Analyst of the International Crisis Group, Cler Delesar, reported to Trend that Azerbaijan and Armenia do not prepare their peoples for the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
"The civil societies in these countries do not prepare people for the conflict settlement. However, not only civil societies, but also governments of Azerbaijan and Armenia do not work in this regard," Delesar said.
The expert stated that this issue should be done by the NGOs. "The NGOs should work with the people so that they meet and talk and understand that they are not enemies," Delesar said. In this case the role of the governments is to give permission the NGOs to do this.
In addition, Delesar stated that in both countries the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh is used to achieve internal political goals.
