On June 9, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State on European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Gordon stated in Yerevan that any mechanism reflecting people's will must be included in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement process, Novosti Armenia reported.
"Any mechanism of voting, via which the people express their will, must be included in the settlement process," said Gordon, answering the question on possibility of holding a referendum.
"The result must reflect the three principles, each of which has its importance," said Gordon.
