A 19-year-old soldier of the Azerbaijani Army, Shaban Murtuzov was wounded as a result of the violation of the ceasefire on the contact line between the Azerbaijani and Armenian Armed Forces in the Terter region, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's Spokesman, Teymur Abdullayev told Trend News.

A 19-year-old soldier of the Azerbaijani Army, Shaban Murguzov was wounded as a result of the violation of the ceasefire on the contact line between the Azerbaijani and Armenian Armed Forces in the Terter region, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's Spokesman, Teymur Abdullayev told Trend .

The Armenian Armed Forces violated the ceasefire in the afternoon on yesterday. Murguzov was taken to the military hospital in the Agdam region and his state is medium-serious. He was enlisted by the Military Commissariat in the Azerbaijani region of Tovuz.

The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan. Armenian armed forces have occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan since 1992, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and 7 surrounding districts. Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - Russia, France, and the U.S. - are currently holding the peace negotiations.
